San Juan Country Club, the premier 18-hole golf course in Northern New Mexico, is looking for an experienced server and/or bartender to join our Front of House team. Position Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service to both members and guests.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them correctly into the POS.
Deliver food and drinks promptly and ensure quality/presentation standards are met.
Maintain strong working knowledge of the food menu, weekly specials, wine list, and signature cocktails to confidently guide members/guests and make recommendations.
Willingness and ability to learn our bar program and bartend independently and confidently within the first 90 days of employment (if of legal age).
Maintain cleanliness and organization of all dining rooms, bar areas, and service stations.
Follow all food safety, alcohol service, and club policies/procedures.
Work closely with kitchen and management staff to ensure smooth service flow.
Assist with opening/closing side work and shift prep duties.
Support private events, banquets, and high-volume service periods as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous serving and/or bartending experience preferred.
Must obtain a Food Safety Certification within the first 30 days of employment.
Must obtain a New Mexico Alcohol Server (ABC) License within the first 30 days of employment.
Ability to learn our bar program and bartend confidently within the first 90 days of employment (if of legal age).
Strong communication and a team-first attitude.
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods during shifts.
Ability to reach, bend, life, shake, stir, and pour throughout the shift.
Ability to lift and carry tubs/cases/kegs up to 75 lbs.
