Retail Store specialist - Window Coverings

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored window covering solutions through inside and outside sales techniques.
• Demonstrate product features and benefits, including lighting design options, layout design, and remodeling ideas to inspire clients.
• Utilize SketchUp, CAD, or similar tools for visualizing custom window treatment layouts and design concepts.
• Manage the entire sales process from initial consultation to final installation, including upselling premium products and accessories.
• Coordinate with clients on renovation or construction projects, ensuring seamless integration of window coverings into their remodeling plans.
• Maintain a well-organized store environment by stocking products, merchandising displays, and managing inventory levels efficiently.
• Handle POS transactions, cash handling, and cashiering duties accurately while providing excellent customer service.
• Develop strong account management relationships through effective communication skills and personalized service strategies.
• Conduct product demos and educate customers on maintenance, lighting sales options, and product care to enhance their experience.

Requirements

• Proven experience in retail sales, especially in high-end or specialty products such as window coverings or interior design solutions.
• Excellent negotiation skills paired with organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with inside sales techniques, merchandising standards, and retail math for accurate pricing and profit calculations.
• Basic math skills for measurements, quotes, and calculations related to product specifications and installation requirements.
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures for window coverings and lighting fixtures is preferred.
