About The San Jose Earthquakes

The San Jose Earthquakes have a mission to establish our home as the epicenter of American soccer by uniting Northern California with big dreams, big hustle, and big impact. We are seeking a Partnership Strategy & Solutions Manager who will support the Partnership Marketing and Sponsorship Sales teams in a fast-paced environment.

About The Position

The San Jose Earthquakes are looking for an adaptable and collaborative individual who can clearly outline the strategic vision and value of partnerships while being efficient with partnership metrics & analysis . This candidate must be able to identify trends in the commercial landscape and manage multiple projects at once. They will report to the Vice President of Sponsorships.

Responsibilities

  • Support every partnership sale, renewal and upsell
  • Collaborate with marketing & sponsorships to develop a ‘sales story’
  • Develop collateral (brand briefs, pitch presentations, overview decks, use cases, recaps, etc.)
  • Provide ideation for new sales opportunities:
  • Collaborate with digital team to create new sellable content assets
  • Collaborate with community to create sellable social impact platforms
  • Internally sourcing, gathering, organizing, and verifying data to develop sponsor programs and sales materials
  • Conduct industry research on target categories and companies to support sales efforts around prospecting & pitching
  • Work closely with Navigate, YouGov, Sponsor United, ZoomInfo and other third party resources to ensure the team has real-time data (valuations, audience/demographic, consumer insights, etc.).

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a related role or partnership sales required
  • Experience with presentation development (PowerPoint, Canva, etc.) and Photoshop required
  • Experience with demographic data tools (YouGov, Scarborough, Nielsen) preferred
  • Knowledge of professional soccer landscape is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills-both verbal and written
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills
  • Must be proactive, organized and resourceful with great attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Must possess a high level of discretion with the ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information as needed
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as the Quakes event calendar requires

Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000 bonus
