Responsibilities
- Design and implement customized piano curricula that cater to individual student needs, skill levels, and learning goals
- Deliver engaging lessons that incorporate technical skill development, music theory, sight-reading, and performance techniques
- Manage private class dynamics effectively, ensuring a respectful, motivating, and inclusive environment for students of all ages
- Incorporate diverse teaching methods to enhance musical understanding
- Provide constructive feedback to students to encourage progress, confidence, and enjoyment in playing the piano
- Participate in the organization of student recitals, performances, or showcases to demonstrate their growth and celebrate achievements
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, or program coordinators to track progress and tailor instruction accordingly
Experience
- Prior experience teaching piano or other musical instruments in educational or private settings a strong plus
- Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning for various age groups
- Experience working with children and youth programs, demonstrating patience and effective behavior management strategies
- Familiarity with private lesson management techniques and working with diverse learners including those with special education needs
