What are the responsibilities and job description for the PBX Operator position at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Communicates in a "customer oriented" professional our patients, visitors manner to assist and other customers. Operates a telephone switchboard in order to relay incoming, outgoing and interoffice calls; performs various hospital communications and clerical duties; acts as hospital receptionist.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or the equivalent preferred; ability to read, write, and understand English required. Two year's related experience in a health care facility preferred. Highly prefer prior switch board experience. Knowledge of basic office procedures/equipment and computer systems and software required. Excellent communication/interpersonal skills required, including ability to tactfully deal with the public in all types of situations such as level of service and financial responsibility. Ability to organize and prioritize projects. Basic Computer skills.
