Role Description
The Assistant Principal is a full-time, on-site role located in thr Bayview-Hunters Point area of San Francisco, CA. This role supports the effective operation of the school by implementing academic programs, leading the instructional staff, and fostering a positive school culture. Key responsibilities include supervising teachers and staff, ensuring compliance with educational standards, engaging with students and families, and addressing disciplinary and behavioral matters. The Assistant Principal will also assist in developing school policies, managing resources, and ensuring the well-being and academic success of all students.
Qualifications
* Experience working with historically underserved communities in urban settings, including a strong commitment to educational equity, culturally responsive teaching and addressing the academic and social-emotional needs of diverse learners
- Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage school operations and support the principal
- Ability to supervise and collaborate with teachers, staff, students, and families to foster an inclusive and positive learning environment
- Knowledge of state and district educational standards, compliance requirements, and best practices in curriculum implementation
- Proficiency in conflict resolution, problem-solving, and managing student behavior support systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on community engagement and team collaboration
- A Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field
- Valid Administrative Credential or eligibility to obtain one within California
- Previous experience in educational leadership or an administrative role, with preference for experience in diverse educational settings
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and the academic and personal development of all studentS
