Role Description
This is an on-site independent contractor role for a Physical Therapist located in San Francisco, CA. The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat patients using evidence-based approaches to help them recover from injuries, surgeries, or physical conditions. Responsibilities include designing and implementing personalized rehabilitation plans, monitoring progress, and providing education to patients to improve mobility, prevent future injuries, and enhance overall well-being. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals and delivering excellent patient care are core aspects of this role.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from accredited program
- Active, unrestricted California Physical Therapy License
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Passionate about sports and orthopedics rehabilitation
- Strong assessment, manual therapy and exercise prescription skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to provide compassionate, individualized patient-centered care
- Experience in outpatient orthopedics, sports rehab or performance training setting is preferred
- Specialty certification in orthopedics, sports or specialized therapy techniques is a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and individualized treatment plans
- Deliver one-on-one, hour-long sessions with each patient
- Focus on orthopedic rehab, injury recovery, and performance optimization
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation (EMR)
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding plan of care and progress
- Collaborate with other providers and staff as needed
- Uphold clinic standards for patient experience and outcomes
