What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager (Temp) position at SAN FRANCISCO OPERA ASSOCIATION?
PURPOSE: To manage regression testing, functionality, and content review for a major web and CRM upgrade. This is a temporary position, late January 2026-October 2026. Hours are flexible at 5-20 hours per week as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Project Manager role will work with a core team that includes the Associate Director of Marketing, Associate Director of Patron Data, Web Development Manager and Web and E-Commerce Manager to ensure that the San Francisco Opera’s website CMS and CRM are upgraded to versions 12 and 16 (respectively), tested and deployed into production.
- Coordinate regression testing and ensure the upgraded website works the same as the current website (at a minimum).
- Support the San Francisco Opera team and our developers to resolve bugs, implement fixes, and manage timelines.
- Maintain the project’s master running list of bugs and fixes and report out on progress
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in managing a group of testers from San Francisco Opera
- Maintain, prioritize and ensure completion of post-upgrade project needs
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum three to five (3-5) years of project management experience. Web project management experience preferred.
PREREQUISITE SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities successfully; meet firm deadlines.
- Exemplary communication skills.
- Experience working cross-departmentally with diverse stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with multiple website CMSs (Optimizely), CRM (Tessitura) and Jira.
- Must perform the functions of the position in a safe manner.
