We are committed to excellence and are looking for a talented individual to join our team as Program Manager. More information can be found at www.sfddc.org.

The ideal candidate is a sharp generalist who thrives in cross-sector environments, can manage complex workstreams, and brings a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.

  • Review project proposals and assist in selection processes for new investments or grants.
  • Liaise with city departments, civic groups, community benefit districts, and nonprofit partners to coordinate program execution.
  • Prepare briefing materials, memos, and presentations for stakeholder meetings, board meetings, and conferences as needed.
  • Draft project updates and donor deliverables highlighting program progress and outcomes. Support the CEO and COO on special projects.

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of professional experience ideally in consulting, public sector management, philanthropy, startups, or civic/nonprofit program delivery.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-stakeholder projects or partnerships with measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at summarizing complex initiatives clearly and persuasively.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary.
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career growth.
  • A collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Location

This role will be based in San Francisco, with a minimum of three days per week in-person at our downtown office, in alignment with the organization’s mission.
