Position Description:
The Program Manager will oversee the day-to-day functions of the RESTORE case management program. RESTORE stands for Recovery Engagement to Start Treatment for Overdose Response Equity. This position will work under the supervision of the Associate Director of Community Response and Treatment, to ensure that the goals and objectives of the program are met. The Program Manager will be responsible for hiring and supervision of staff who are assigned to dedicated RESTORE sites, ensuring that staff members are trained to provide client responsive and harm reduction-oriented case management to individuals engaging in medically assisted treatment, and coordinating responsibly and effectively with community members and partner organizations to ensure that programmatic activities reach desired targets and outcomes.
Essential Duties:
- Oversee the day-to-day functions of the RESTORE Case Management program.
- Hire, train, and provide direct supervision to staff within the program at their dedicated sites.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the RESTORE team which includes other Program Managers, Case Managers, Community Health Workers, and representatives from partnering organizations and The Health Department.
- Develop system to ensure timely submission of programmatic reporting for required partner meetings.
- Develop system to ensure timely submission of client encounter documentation in electronic health record (EHR) and regularly conduct quality assurance to ensure that case managers are documenting correctly.
- Provide as needed technical assistance to case managers around utilization of EHR, and their documentation style.
- Provide coaching to case managers to assist with increasing knowledge and awareness around client engagement methods and model desired case management approaches.
- Ensure timely submission of all progress reports, ensuring that reports accurately describe and represent completed work.
- Develop trainings, workshops, and educational materials, as needed to support programmatic activities.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, program consultants, and external partners from various health agencies and attend regular coalition and stakeholder meetings across the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Collaborate with the SFCHC Wellness Clinic and other departments within SFCHC to ensure successful integration between programs.
- Work directly with internal and external evaluators of programs to collect and analyze data across all projects.
- Ensure compliance with all outreach, promotion, and recruitment policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to sit, stand, climb stairs and walk for an extended period of time
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and 2 years of experience providing program management or coordination in a community health/community engagement in San Francisco, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 2 years of experience working with people who use drugs (PWUD), harm reduction as intervention, San Francisco-based substance use programming, client-centered counseling, and motivational interviewing.
- At least 2 years of experience and comfort working with sexual and gender minorities, refugees, immigrants, homeless, and multiple-diagnosed populations (those with substance use and/or mental health issues).
- Sensitivity and familiarity with HIV/AIDS and cultural issues in communities of color.
- Conflict Management and de-escalation skills
- Experience working in interdisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated reliability and good interpersonal, organizational, verbal, written communication skills in English. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and have ability to work professionally and ethically within multi-racial and multicultural settings.
- Be able to provide customer service in an effective, courteous and friendly manner and meet the needs of diverse clientele.
- Knowledge of legal mandates and ethical issues related to client privacy and confidentiality.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, documentation in an electronic health record, and data entry and management.
- Up-to-date with vaccinations, especially COVID-19 and seasonal flu shot vaccinations
- Proof of TB clearance (issued within the past 12 months or less)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with EPIC documenting client/patient encounters
- Spanish language proficiency

Salary : $73,130 - $98,345
