What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at San Francisco Community Acupuncture?
San Francisco Community Acupuncture is a small, busy, woman owned business located in the inner Mission neighborhood of San Francisco. We offer affordable, sliding-scale acupuncture in a group setting as well as private acupuncture treatments, cupping, and massage services.
We are looking for a professional with a friendly attitude, an eye for detail, and the ability to multitask to serve as our company’s front desk receptionist. In this position you will facilitate the flow of our fast paced, community centered clinic.
We are looking to hire for two weekly shifts to start. Saturday availability is required. Starting pay depends on qualifications and experience. Perks include free weekly acupuncture treatments and a discount on private treatments and products. Opportunities to fill in for other shifts during the week are also available on a regular basis.
Front Desk Receptionist Responsibilities & Duties
- Greet and welcome visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer incoming phone calls
- Manage emails
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Receive payments
- Maintain a tidy, organized and well stocked reception area
- Reset and restock treatment rooms so staff can focus on patient care
- Wash and fold linens
- Open packages
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, scanning, and document preparation
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
- Handle basic inquiries and provide accurate information to visitors and callers
- Support other departments with clerical tasks as needed
- Manage office supplies inventory and communicate ordering needs
Front Desk Receptionist Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 2 years of customer experience in a fast paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Great computer skills
- Ability to learn Jane, our scheduling software, quickly
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Friendly attitude and customer service orientation
- Ability to work proactively, independently, and under pressure
- Spanish speaking a plus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
