What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant for Surgery Department position at San Francisco Animal Medical Center?
San Francisco Animal Medical Center is looking for an veterinary assistant for our Surgery department. We are passionate about providing excellent care and high standard of medicine to our clients and patients, as well as a positive and supportive work environment to our staff.
Strong applicants will be proficient in the following skills:
- Animal restraint and handling
- Venipuncture and IVC placement
-Surgical/aseptic prep
- Surgical Scrub-in
- Assist with appoitments & diagnostics (radiographs, CT, lab-work)
Candidate must also be able to stand for long periods, crouch, and lift up to 40 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time, Part-Time
Schedule Options: AWW- 3 twelve hours shifts or 4 ten hour shifts
Hourly Rate: $28 - $35 per hour
