Job Summary
Job Summary
The Occupational Therapist is part of a multi-disciplinary team who assess students with physical, mental, developmental and/or emotional disabilities to determine current levels of motor development and/or cognitive functioning; develop recommendations and a plan that addresses the identified needs; identify and address families' concerns regarding students' development; and assist other staff in implementing activities and/or techniques that address the identified student needs. Candidates must be able to travel to District school sites.
Requirements / Qualifications
Candidates must fully complete an application for employment and attach the following to their application:
--Valid Occupational Therapist Certification issued by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) or American Occupational Therapy Certification Board (AOTCB).
--Valid California Occupational Therapist license.

- Other (Copy of California Occupational Therapist license or letter stating ability to obtain license within 60 days of employment )

Effective January 1, 2026, and in accordance with California Education Code Section 44051(a)(1), any applicant for a non-teaching position must disclose a complete list of every school district, county office of education, charter school, state special school and diagnostic center operated by the department of education, and private school that the applicant has previously been an employee of, including full-time, part-time, or substitute roles. Failure to provide this information may be considered an act of dishonesty and could affect hiring decisions.
The competitive basis for this recruitment is established as dual certification.
Examination process: Completed applications will be formally evaluated for minimum qualifications. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications then complete a Qualifications Appraisal Interview (scored interview), weight: 100%.
