Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Management:
- Collect, clean, and maintain a variety of data sources related to player performance.
- Develop and manage databases to ensure the integrity and accessibility of data.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of performance data using statistical methods and data visualization tools.
- Create detailed reports and presentations to communicate insights and trends to coaching staff and management.
- Performance Insights:
- Evaluate player performance and injury data to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with coaches to design and analyze strategic game plans based on data-driven insights.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with department heads to align analytical insights with team objectives.
- Present findings in a clear and concise manner, fostering a culture of data-informed decision-making.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, analytical methods, and emerging technologies in sports analytics.
- Propose enhancements to existing data processes and tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Sports Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a sports or athletic environment.
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Python) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of soccer (football) and performance analytics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
