RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general direction of the Assistant Director or Director, Client Services, this position is assigned supervisory responsibility for a group of Service Coordinators and/or other Client Services staff; oversees the planning, assignment, scheduling, coordination and quality of each employee’s work, providing guidance and training; assures that the highest quality timely service is provided to San Diego Regional (SDRC) clients and their families; and communicates issues in the provision of services to other departments and management staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s or Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in the field of Human Services, Health Services, Special Education, or Management.
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree: At least five (5) years’ social services experience, preferably with persons with developmental disabilities in a professional capacity, with at least three (3) years’ related supervisory/management experience; or at least two (2) years of the five (5) years’ experience working at a regional center with a minimum of one (1) year of formal supervisory/management experience, preferably in a related field, or enrollment in a formal management or leadership training program with a minimum of 20 training hours. The two (2) years’ regional center employment requirement must be met upon promotion.
Master’s Degree: At least four (4) years’ social services experience, preferably with persons with developmental disabilities in a professional capacity, with a minimum of one (1) year of formal supervisory/management experience, preferably in a related field, or five (5) years’ social service experience and enrollment in a formal management or leadership training program with a minimum of 20 training hours.
STARTING SALARY
BA/BS Entry Level $7,178 to $7,896 monthly
Master's Entry Level $7,953 to $8,748 monthly
