Helpdesk & Hardware
Full-time position available at our San Diego (Kearny Mesa) office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Manager of Technical Operations, the Assistant IT Manager of Helpdesk & Hardware, supports daily IT operations by overseeing frontline helpdesk activities, coordinating hardware lifecycle tasks, and ensuring staff receive timely, high‑quality technical support. This role acts as a bridge between technicians, end users, and senior IT leadership, helping to maintain service standards, streamline workflows, and uphold organizational technology policies. The Assistant IT Manager provides hands‑on technical assistance, mentors Helpdesk staff, and contributes to process improvements that enhance reliability, user satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology preferred, or certifications in Comp TIA A , Comp TIA Network , and Microsoft 365: Fundamentals (MS-900).
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) to Five (5) years in IT support, Helpdesk, or hardware technician roles are required. Strong understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and common business applications required.
OTHER
Experience in a non-profit or human services organization preferred. Familiarity with ticketing systems (Vivantio or similar); basic knowledge of networking concepts (DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi troubleshooting); and exposure to Intune, Azure AD, or mobile device management tools preferred. Ability to lift and move equipment up to 40 pounds. Frequent walking between offices, departments, and hardware storage areas. Occasional after-hours support as needed.
STARTING SALARY
$7,953 to $8,748 monthly
