Senior Engineer (Design Services) – San Diego County Water Authority
Location: San Diego, CA
Salary: $152,043 – $204,480 annually
Schedule: 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off!)
Join a mission-driven team shaping the future of water reliability in San Diego County. As our Senior Engineer, you’ll lead complex water infrastructure projects from concept to completion—designing, managing, and delivering innovative solutions for the region’s $268B economy and 3.3M residents.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as Project Manager & technical lead for high-impact capital improvement projects
- Oversee engineering design, schedules, and budgets
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a skilled team of engineers & technical staff
- Manage consultant contracts and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
- Ensure quality, compliance, and innovation in every project
We’re Looking For:
- CA Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (or related) 8 years’ engineering experience
- Expertise in public water/utility design, construction, and project management
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
