The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting to add to the substitute/limited-term pool Health Services Technician for the Outdoor Education Program.
Under general supervision, the Health Services Technician performs a variety of health care services involved in administering first aid, dispensing medications, and providing first aid and emergency care to students and staff; provides supplementary office support for all functional areas.
A combination of training and experience is sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge and abilities described in the job description. Qualifying experience typically includes a minimum of six months of experience providing direct health care services or emergency medical assistance.
To be considered for this position, you must individually attach the following items to your completed EDJOIN Application:
- Resume, detailing education and experience
- One or more of the following valid certificates (required for the position):
- Current First Aid Certificate AND CPR Certification (certified by either American Red Cross/American Heart Association ); OR,
- First Responder Certificate; OR,
- EMT 1, 2, 3, or 4 Certificate

In addition, if you apply and are selected for a permanent position at any point there would be an additional $80 cost (currently) for fingerprinting as a permanent employee (taken out of your first regular paycheck).
