The Position
The purpose of this position is to monitor and maintain the Utilities Advanced Metering Infrastructure system.
Duties
Monitor the AMI network on a daily basis to ensure all networks are communicating and functioning properly
Analyze data from the Meter Data Management System and look for weaknesses and system improvement opportunities
Assure meters are reporting to the system on a daily basis
Work with Vendors to ensure the system performs to contract specifications.
Supervise and monitor any repairs that are needed for the system.
Work with other departments as necessary to update and keep the system functioning properly
Oversee work done by SCADA Technicians and service technicians to assure all work is done within the system parameters and specifications
Run reports and make recommendations to system improvements found within the data of the system
Monitor and adjust alarms within the system to operate within parameters and design specifications
Monitor SCADA and OMS systems in coordination with the AMI to assure functionality across all systems.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Oversee and supervise any repairs or updates to the AMI network and any components of the system. Assure any repairs or updates are within compliance of the network, and any interconnects or interfaces are within specifications of the network.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or ten (10) years SCADA/IT/Telecom related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
