Job summary:
The San Diego Country Club is looking for a full time Server to join our team! As a Server with SDCC, you will be responsible for working at both our in-house restaurant as well as with events that we have onsite. Shift schedules may vary based on the needs to the club.
Summary of essential job functions:
· Greeting and Seating: Welcoming guests as they arrive and provide them with menus. Assist with seating arrangements and accommodate special requests.
· Taking Orders: Accurately record customers' food and beverage orders, ensuring to consider any dietary restrictions or preferences. Provide recommendations if requested.
· Serving: Delivering food and drinks to tables in a timely and organized manner. Ensuring proper presentation of dishes and beverages.
· Customer Service: Providing attentive and friendly service throughout the meal. Addressing any customer inquiries, concerns, or special requests in a professional and courteous manner.
· Collaboration: Working closely with kitchen staff ensuring accurate and prompt delivery of orders. Communicating any modifications or special requests effectively.
· Upselling: Suggesting additional items, specials, or desserts to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
· Payment Processing: Presenting checks to members, processing payments accurately, and returning change or receipts promptly.
· Table Maintenance: Clearing dishes, cleaning tables, and resetting them for new guests. Maintaining a neat and clean dining area throughout service hours.
· Teamwork: Collaborating with other servers, bartenders, hosts, and kitchen staff to create a smooth and efficient dining service.
· Knowledge of Menu: Staying informed about the menu offerings, ingredients, and preparation methods to answer customer questions accurately.
· Adherence to Health and Safety Standards: Following sanitation and safety guidelines to ensure a hygienic environment for both customers and staff.

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk and crouch.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience as a server or in customer service is preferred.
· Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
· Basic math skills for processing payments and making changes.
· Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
· Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
· Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems is a plus.
Compensation: $16.00 plus tips
