Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to ensure thorough sanitation and floor care
- Handle chemical agents safely while performing cleaning and sanitation procedures in compliance with safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas to promote a hygienic environment
- Conduct light custodial repairs or maintenance tasks as needed, including minor painting or touch-ups in residential or commercial spaces
- Follow safety procedures for heavy lifting and manual handling to prevent injuries during the transportation of supplies or equipment
- Restock cleaning supplies and materials regularly to ensure operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and custodial equipment operation
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely following proper safety procedures
- Experience with floor buffers, buffing techniques, and floor care maintenance is preferred
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy lifting and manual handling practices
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards team collaboration
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy objects safely and standing for extended periods
