Summary of Benefits
Memoranda of Understanding (MOU)
Possess a U.S. High School diploma, General Educational Diploma (GED), or have passed the California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE).
Promotional Background: At the time of appointment, candidates must pass a promotional background.
Travel: A valid California Class C Driver License is required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.

| Option 1 | Completion of a Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. | Three (3) years of full-time work experience equivalent to San Bernardino County Probation Corrections Officer (PCO). |
| Option 2 | Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed college coursework which includes fifteen (15) semester (23 quarter) units in upper level coursework in psychology, sociology, criminology, criminal justice, or other closely related behavioral science field of study. | Four (4) years of full-time work experience equivalent to San Bernardino County PCO. |
| Option 3 | Completion of an Associates degree –or– sixty (60) semester (90 quarter) units of completed college coursework which includes fifteen (15) semester (23 quarter) units in areas listed above. | Five (5) years of full-time work experience equivalent to San Bernardino County PCO. |
