The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools office acts as an intermediate service agency between the California Department of Education and the 33 school districts in San Bernardino County to help meet the educational needs of all children county-wide. Job Summary

Under the direction of the Area Director, the School Psychologist (BCBA) provides districtwide leadership and advanced behavioral expertise to support students with significant behavioral, social-emotional, and learning needs in general education and special education settings. This certificated management position integrates School Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) practices to support system-level behavioral programming, data-based decision-making, and compliance with state and federal requirements. The School Psychologist (BCBA) serves as a behavioral consultant and support to students, administrators, school teams, and families; ensures the development, implementation, and fidelity of evidence-based behavioral assessment and intervention practices.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Possession of a valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Psychology; • Possession of a valid Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification; • Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience providing behavioral services to students with significant behavioral challenges, including students with autism and other disabilities; • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and evaluating behavior intervention plans and ABA programs; • Possession of a valid California Driver’s License (not required to be submitted in the application packet – see below).

A valid California Driver’s License is required prior to the start of employment.
