Job Description
San Bernardino Community College District accepts applications for an hourly professional expert position for our San Bernardino Valley College on a continuous basis. However, this does not imply the department is actively recruiting for this position. The following generally describes the knowledge and ability required to enter the job and/or be learned within a short period of time to successfully perform the assigned duties.
Representative Duties:
• Takes food orders from customers; serves goods to students and staff according to established procedures.
• Operates computerized point of sale (POS) system; makes change
• Maintains work areas and serving areas in a sanitary manner; cleans tables; cleans surfaces and equipment, sweeps floors
• Transports and stores supplies; carries out trash and garbage; assists in receiving and storing food and supplies.
• Utilizes proper safety precautions related to all work performed.
• Maintains inventory of food and supplies; informs Food Services when inventory is low; inspects supplies for standards of quality.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Training:
• Formal or informal education or training that ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to maintain insurability under the District's vehicle insurance policy.
• Possession of a valid San Bernardino County, California Food Handlers Card.

Vision:
See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read printed documents; and to operate assigned equipment.
Hearing:
Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.

The person selected for hire will be required to complete the following pre-employment requirements:
• Submit to and successfully pass DOJ live scan/fingerprinting. Cost of live-scan services to be borne by candidate.
• Tuberculosis (TB) risk assessment
• Other pre-employment requirements may be required depending on the position (i.e. certifications or licenses; see job posting qualifications section for details).
