Position Summary
San Bar Construction Corporation is currently recruiting to fill the position of Payroll Specialist. The primary function of the payroll specialist will be to process weekly payroll for employees to include processing of certified payrolls, entering employee benefit changes, maintaining the integrity of the payroll database including accounting activities as directed and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for 80 employees
- Process bonus payroll
- Process weekly 401K upload
- Process all Certified Payrolls on a weekly basis and make sure they are delivered to the job-specific contractor
- Enter new employee information into the payroll system upon onboarding and deactivate employees when they are offboarded
- Process employee changes such as, pay rate, tax withholding, direct deposit, and employee deductions, etc.
- Calculate child support garnishments and liens and notify third-party payroll to pay. Oversee payments made and amounts satisfied
- Maintain company vacation and sick leave and monitor for accuracy
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Be a friendly resource and a subject matter expert for employees to ask questions they may have regarding paystubs
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· 3 years’ experience executing payroll processes required
· Construction in house payroll experience required
· Certified Payroll experience (Davis Bacon) and related reporting, required
· Strong work ethic, professional integrity, and reliability in the handling of highly confidential information
· Strong time management and organization skills
· Self-Starter and capable of working with minimal management
· Strong Excel skills
· Strong Microsoft Office skills
