Job Summary
To provide Transitional Kinder learning opportunities in the morning and provide intervention for 1st-8th grade students in the afternoon or work part time as just a TK teacher from 8:00-1:00 daily. Provide a developmentally appropriate educational program for young students to prepare them to transition into Kindergarten next year. Foster a nurturing, stimulating environment building early literacy, number sense, and social-emotional skills for young learners. Work collaboratively with parents, staff, and administration. An understanding of early childhood education principles and best practices. Knowledge of child cognitive development. Ability to design and deliver play-based, active, and engaging activities. Provide targeted small-group and one-on-one math instruction to students who need additional support to meet grade-level standards. Key responsibilities include assessing student needs, developing personalized intervention plans, monitoring progress, collaborating with classroom teachers and parents, and using research-based strategies and manipulatives to enhance math skills and confidence.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid California Teaching Credential 24 units in early childhood education or childhood development (desired) Resume and 3 current letters of recommendation Copies of credentials and Transcripts
