Position:
SAS has an opening for a Manufacturing Supervisor Trainee.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a section or department to achieve optimal efficiency while showing respect and compassion for the people and company.
- Consistently apply quality control throughout the manufacturing process to ensure that problems are avoided, recognized and/or corrected.
- Review and analyze reports to predict or correct production flow issues.
- Learn how to use and help the team with utilization of LeadTec, our shop-floor workflow tracking and real-time payroll system.
- Possess a working knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft AX) and/or shop-floor production tracking systems or the ability to learn these systems quickly.
Job Qualifications:
- 1-5 years of manufacturing experience.
- Responsible and self-motivated with a strong work ethic to work independently.
- Must be a team player that can work well with others.
- Willing to get involved in anything and everything with an “It Can Be Done” attitude.
- Must have respect and empathy for co-workers, their team and the company.
- Good communication skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Mathematical strength and highly analytical.
- Ability to multi task, learn quickly, prioritize and to diligently follow up.
- Excellent organizational skills to handle a busy environment.
- Internal Applicants must have acceptable Attendance and PDQCS.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical labor is necessary for 8 hours or more per day with breaks approximately every two hours including standing walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting, talking, hearing and engaging in repetitive motions.
- Excellent vision to inspect the quality of their work.
- Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 20lbs.
- Must have good eye and hand coordination.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- 1-5 years of shoemaking/manufacturing experience or general manufacturing experience & production facilities or equivalent education.
