Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Middle School Math Teacher role located in San Antonio, TX at the Young Men's Leadership Academy. The Math Teacher will plan and deliver engaging, standards-based mathematics instruction to middle school students, using a variety of teaching strategies and resources to support different learning styles. Daily responsibilities include designing lesson plans, preparing instructional materials, assessing student progress, and providing timely feedback to support academic growth. The role involves maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment, collaborating with colleagues and families, participating in professional development, and contributing to campus and district initiatives. The teacher will also monitor student behavior, implement classroom management strategies, and ensure compliance with district policies and state education requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong content knowledge and instructional skills in Mathematics and Mathematics Education.
- Demonstrated ability in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development aligned with state and district standards.
- Status as a Qualified Teacher, including appropriate Texas teaching certification for middle school mathematics.
