Account Executive – Marketing & Media Sales

The San Antonio Current is looking for an experienced Account Executive to join our San Antonio team.

This is an opportunity to sell something different.

As part of Chava Communications, you'll represent the combined strength of Local Culture Creative, a full-service marketing agency, and the San Antonio Current, one of the city's most recognized media brands. You'll help businesses reach more customers through digital marketing, social media, web design, streaming TV, print advertising, sponsorships, events, and integrated marketing campaigns.

What You'll Do:

This is a true business development role. Success starts with creating opportunities.

You'll:

• Prospect and develop new business through calls, networking, referrals, and outreach.
• Schedule meetings with business owners and decision-makers.
• Build and manage your own sales pipeline.
• Consult with clients to understand their goals and recommend effective marketing solutions.
• Present proposals, negotiate agreements, and close new business.
• Grow existing accounts through outstanding service and relationship management.
• Represent Local Culture Creative and the San Antonio Current throughout the community.

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for someone who already knows how to create opportunities—not someone waiting for leads to be assigned.

Qualified candidates will have:

• Two or more years of outside sales, business development, advertising, media, or marketing sales experience.
• A proven track record of generating their own meetings and developing new business.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Confidence making outbound calls and meeting new people.
• The ability to manage multiple opportunities and stay organized.
• A genuine interest in marketing and helping local businesses grow.
• Agency, media, or digital marketing sales experience is a plus, but it's not required.

• Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission

Work Location

This is a hybrid position based in San Antonio. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely while also meeting with clients, attending networking events, collaborating with teammates, and working from our office as needed.
