Position Summary
The Fine Arts Teacher is responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing engaging fine arts instruction that promotes creativity, artistic expression, and student achievement. The teacher creates a positive learning environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students while aligning instruction with state standards and school expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality lessons in fine arts, including visual arts, music, theater, or other assigned disciplines.
- Foster creativity, critical thinking, and artistic appreciation among students.
- Design lessons that accommodate diverse learning styles and student needs.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive classroom environment.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide timely feedback.
- Integrate technology and innovative instructional strategies into the curriculum.
- Prepare students for performances, exhibitions, competitions, and special events as appropriate.
- Collaborate with administrators, teachers, parents, and community members to support student success.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Valid Texas teaching certification in Fine Arts or applicable content area.
- Knowledge of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and state assessment requirements.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to establish positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Experience teaching fine arts at the assigned grade level preferred.
