SECURITY GUARD

San Antonio Academy of Texas seeks a skilled Security Guard starting immediately. This position is an integral part of the school’s operation and is a full-time, 12-month position with a generous benefits plan. Being reliable with a collaborative, professional work ethic is required. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid security knowledge and must also possess manual dexterity, physical stamina, and mental and emotional fortitude to perform their duties to the best of their ability.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Effectively control foot and vehicle traffic at campus entry control points

• Ensure employees, parents, and other guests have proper identification for campus entry

• Utilize RAPTOR Technologies Visitor Management System to check and sign-in visitors

• Foot patrol around designated areas on and off campus

• Monitor campus CCTV surveillance systems

• Quickly respond to emergencies and incidents to maintain safety and order for people and property

• Communicate and enforce rules, conduct inspections, verify visitors, and write observation reports

• Identify and communicate any unusual situations or safety/security hazards

• Ensure all entrances, exits, gates, and other areas are secure

• Maintain a high level of competency and commitment

• Collaborate with all members of school community in an articulate and courteous manner during completion of duties

• Perform any other duties as assigned

• Report daily to Security Lead or Director of Facilities
