Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and efficient seating arrangements. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional guest services, contributing to an outstanding dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the seating process efficiently.
- Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times clearly to guests.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding the menu, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure smooth table turnover and guest satisfaction.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about reservations and menu options.
- Utilize POS systems, such as Aloha POS, to manage reservations and seating arrangements effectively.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality and customer service throughout the dining experience.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Familiarity with food service operations and guest service principles.
- Proficient in using POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Excellent phone etiquette to handle reservations and inquiries professionally.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A team player who is willing to help colleagues when necessary and contribute to a positive work atmosphere.
