The Medical Director of Women’s Health provides clinical leadership and oversight for women’s health services across all clinical sites at Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center. This role ensures delivery of high-quality, equitable, and evidence-based care in obstetrics and gynecology, inclusive of reproductive and perinatal health. The Medical Director will work collaboratively with clinical and administrative leadership to advance service delivery, patient safety, quality improvement, provider training, and care innovation within a multidisciplinary, community-based model of care.
Key Responsibilities include:
Provide direct patient care in women’s health services, including but not limited to prenatal care, gynecologic care, contraceptive services, and management of common women’s health conditions.
Serve as the clinical leader for women’s health across all our sites, developing and implementing protocols, clinical guidelines, and best practices.
Collaborate with the CMO and other department leaders to ensure coordination of care, quality assurance, and compliance with HRSA, state, and federal regulations.
Supervise and support OB/GYN and family medicine providers delivering women's health services, including acting as a collaborating physician, providing departmental onboarding, and conducting periodic reviews.
Lead initiatives to expand access to culturally responsive and trauma-informed care.
Oversee perinatal care programs and contribute to maternal health equity strategies and partnerships.
Lead or support quality improvement (QI) projects, including metrics tracking and outcomes reporting related to women’s health.
Represent the organization in relevant community partnerships, policy initiatives, and grant-funded projects related to women's health.
Collaborate on recruitment, workforce development, and retention strategies for women's health clinicians.
MD or DO with board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology or Family Medicine with women’s health fellowship or OB experience required.
Active, unrestricted medical license in Missouri; DEA certification.
Minimum of 5 years clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Demonstrated commitment to health equity, reproductive justice, and culturally responsive care.
Experience working in FQHCs or similar safety-net settings preferred.
