RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate material handling equipment
- Operate packaging tools (machine and hand)
- Using RF devices for accurate material tracking
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school education or GED desired
- Good mathematical competencies
- Attention to accuracy and detail
- Able to read a tape measure to the sixteenth. Experience with micrometers and calipers.
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions
- Commitment to continuous improvement, and health & safety
EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:
- Previous experience operating Fork Lift / Side Loader / Overhead Crane experience a plus – Must pass evaluation before working independently.
- Experience using computers.
- Experience with cutting and banding equipment a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to spend 80% of the day standing.
- Ability to bend, stoop, push and pull.
- Ability to climb into and out of side loaders and fork trucks.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs (22.7kg) maximum occasionally with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs (11.3kg).
