Responsibilities:
Material Handling & Packing Team Support
- Load and unload aluminum extrusions onto racks and transport them throughout the plant to support the packing demand.
- You may be required to load and unload aging ovens as needed.
- You will be required to move racks to packing stations to support the product effort.
- Move, stack, and organize raw and finished materials in designated areas.
- Handle extrusions carefully to prevent scratches, dents, or contamination.
Safety & Compliance
- Meet all OSHA-related requirements under CCR T-8, 3668.
- Perform daily pre-operation forklift inspections and report any issues.
- Follow all company safety rules and forklift guidelines to prevent accidents.
- Keep the work area clean and organized to promote a safe working environment.
- Report any safety concerns or damaged materials to supervisors immediately.
- Inventory & Documentation daily to report condition of lift
- Keep accurate records of material movements and transactions.
- Segregate and organize materials by production batch or customer orders.
- Utilize barcode scanners or inventory management systems to track materials.
Teamwork & Communication
- Effectively communicate with line operators, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate workflow.
- Assist with additional tasks as needed to support production goals.
- Demonstrate good judgment and professionalism in all work activities.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1 years of forklift operation experience in a manufacturing setting (aluminum extrusion preferred).
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Certifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- California Driver’s License (preferred but not required).
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle fragile materials.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking.
- Available for overtime, weekends, and “off-shift” hours as required.
The base hourly pay range for this position is $21.60 - $22.80. If you are hired, your base pay rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base pay range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued wage growth.
