Construction / Project Manager – Large Pharma EPC Project

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction / Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) project within the pharmaceutical sector. This is a critical role on a high-value, complex facility where compliance, precision, and execution excellence are paramount.
The successful candidate will take ownership of project delivery from construction through to commissioning, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards (cGMP / FDA / EMA), quality requirements, safety targets, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage construction activities for large-scale pharmaceutical EPC projects.
- Oversee multidisciplinary teams including contractors, subcontractors, and engineering partners.
- Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and scope, while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.
- Manage project governance, reporting, and stakeholder communication at senior levels.
- Drive compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and validation protocols.
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring continuity of progress on critical project milestones.
Requirements
- Proven track record in construction or project management for large, complex EPC projects in the pharmaceutical or biotech sector.
- Strong understanding of cGMP, regulatory environments, and technical facility requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Experience in managing large capital projects ($100M preferred).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree (or equivalent experience).
- PMP, APM, or similar certification advantageous.
