Essential Skills (may include but are not limited to the ability to:)
• Read a tape measure or ruler.
• Perform basic craft math
• Identify and properly use safety equipment.
• Identify and properly use hand tools.
• Identify and properly operate power tools
• Operate portable generators
• Recognize and identify unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to employee's work environment
to control or eliminate any hazards of other exposure to illness or injury.
• Use hand signals to guide/direct equipment operators.
• Identify reinforcing steel
• Perform basic rebar tying
• Must be able to read blueprints, plans, and drawings proficiently to perform duties.
• Must have knowledge on materials, tools, and processes involved with basic building techniques
and form construction.
• Must be able to compute basic arithmetic functions, measure, mark, and cut equipment and
materials to specification.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work full work schedule and any additional overtime with little to no notification.
• Must be willing to assist other crafts and perform additional job duties while not performing
primary craft duties.
• Must follow all company and site rules and regulations.
• Must have required tools
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees, contractors, and others on
project
• Knowledge of equipment, materials, and methods used in the industry
• Ability to follow standard safety practices and procedures
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Working outside in extreme weather conditions
• Frequently exposed to wet and or humid conditions
• Be capable of listening and communicating with other supervision and employees
• Be motivated and work safely and productively
Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting,
and lifting.
• Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls,
and tools.
