This Logistics Operation Management will manage and oversee daily shipment operations from Terminals or Rail-ramps out of various locations in North America to all customers by scheduling, planning, and operating to provide the best customer service. Responsibilities:
Identify specific spot delivery conditions and customer requirements (e.g., appointments, equipment requirements, dock hours and etc.)
Plan one-time transportation routing methods to fulfill the customer requirements including transloading, pre-pull, and/or etc.
Source/negotiate with pre-qualified carriers to move irregular or urgent freight.
Manage the schedule of shipments and communicate with carriers for those specific freight.
Oversee transportation arrangements for customers during the shipments process.
Monitor and compare with the actual performances of the spot freight based on Key Performance Indicator
Discuss and deliver feedbacks to the carriers to improve operational efficiency and performance
Communicates/cooperates closely with counter partners within the organizations
Keep records of spot price and conditions (e.g., FSC, chassis, and other accessorial charges)
Collect proves of the delivery completion and associated costs for the spot freight arranged
Support the freight audit team with the costs and conditions of the specific spot freights arranged
Performs innovative activities to increase the work efficiency and sales/profit from the management point of view
Monitor and tracking inbound shipments for Samsung Electronics America importing in the US.
Audit FBA, DEM/DET, operational accessory invoices based on contracts with customers/truckers and process in system for payment in a timely manner or stipulated credit terms.
Perform collection activity for AR payments and manage overdue/overdue invoices from customers within agreed terms
Produce weekly/monthly/quarterly reports with combining necessary data and report to customers and HQ.
Lead team members and manage overall work scope as a part leader
Manage Part end-to-end employee process with HR: recruiting, retaining, managing performance evaluations and compensation planning working closely with HR business partner (goal setting, promotions, succession planning and compensation planning)
Develop high-performing work teams to effectively meet the changing needs of the business by
Support motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met
Direct and manage daily operations to successfully deliver results. Especially customer service and finance activities as a part leader
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required
8 years of relevant experience in Load Planning, Regional or HUB Operations Management preferred
Strong understanding of international transportation especially ocean shipping and freight forwarding industry
Experience in establishing a transport plan that can optimize loading rate, transport time and logistics cost
Experience in leading a group of team members with effective leadership
Ability to manage within goals by considering in time, budget and business objectives
Use creative thinking and strategic problem-solving techniques
Effective oral and written communication
A good attitude and ability to work in a team setting
Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite and other applications
Prioritization skill, able to shift focus to urgent issues while not falling behind on other duties
Ability to travel up to 10-20% in domestic
Korean Bilingual preferred

Your base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This allows you to progress as you grow and develop within the position. The base pay range for this role is between $80,000 ~ $100,000/year, and your base pay will depend on your skills, education, qualifications, experience, and location.
