JOB SUMMARY:
A Drop Zone Material Handler Kitting is responsible for material delivery, inventory control for current and future programs. A Material Handler will utilize powered industrial equipment or walking to each station to ensure timely material flow within the plant and assembly lines. The MH will be actively engaged to meet daily customer demand and internal run off requirements at all stages of line readiness. Reporting directly to the Materials Supervisor you will interface with other functions such as quality, manufacturing engineering, production, and maintenance. This position places high premiums on effective teamwork, clear communication, initiative, and intelligent judgement to achieve and maintain material flow, efficiency, and quality.
ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all work stations are properly filled accordingly with the production schedule ( Walking to each station, Using Material Carts, Tugger )
- Modules Scanning, Modules Repackaging
- Pack and unpack Containers, locate and put away all stock in organized manner ( Drop Zone )
- Materials Handling
- Scans Boxes/Pallets at Drop zone when Hi-lo driver brings them
- Support Physical Inventory Activities
- Support to Material Specialist / Drop Zone Activities
- Perform 5S activities.
- Other Tasks as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Working Experience in materials / logistics areas
- Cycle count experience is preferred
- Working Level Knowledge of:
- Materials and logistics
- Highly Organized and Detail Oriented.
- Ability to stand, walk, carry light objects, handle parts, reach with hands and arms, and lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to Multi-task and work with minimum supervision
- Ability to work overtime as business needs dictate.
- Ability to travel between manufacturing facilities as required.
- Flexible and capable of adapting to change with the ability to follow work instructions.

HEALTH & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

- Assist with the preparation of risk assessments
- Before commencing work or research, a risk assessment should be conducted to identify, assess and control the hazards associated with the work or research. This should be conducted in conjunction with other relevant staff, researchers and the supervisor
- Report OH&S problems
- Report workplace hazards to the supervisor as soon as possible after they occur
- Report injury or illness arising from workplace activities using the incident/injury reporting system as soon as possible after the incident
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Complete monthly H&S inspections
