The Opportunity
Yield management team provides data analytics and financial strategy management to ensure robustness in financial health for Samsung Ads. The Analyst will ensure that Samsung makes sound strategic decisions based on analysis and critical thinking, backed up by data. This position will work cross functionally and closely with sales management to track business metrics and develop financial processes for the Smart TV Ad business. He/she will work closely across Sales, Ad Operations, Headquarters, subsidiary Finance Teams, Engineering and Product to ensure a full end-to-end financial support on all aspects of the business. This position is located in NYC and requires occasional domestic travel if needed be.

Responsibilities
- Provide analytical support on all demand types (direct and programmatic) to develop models to suggests strategic recommendations to the leadership on market trends, competitive positioning and growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with Rev Ops and Sales to develop new revenue opportunities across emerging formats and channels
- Monitor programmatic revenue performance and transaction quality indicators (auction bid$, bids density, ads fill% etc.) to develop data-driven strategies to optimize for sustainable revenue growth.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis using SQL, Advanced Excels and other analytic platforms to design and implement A/B tests and experimental strategies to enhance ads performance and overall programmatic yield.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in P&Es, ad ops, and contents team to review ads positioning and advocating for better ads transaction techniques to support higher CPMs
- Analyze programmatic partnership (SSP, DSP, Exchanges) to monitor performance trend and trigger investigation with partners and sales team to trouble shoot for technical, abnormal behaviors.
- Partner with P&E and pricing to optimize the pricing strategy for Open Auctions within unified yield framework to maximize the yield while protecting inventory market values
- Partner with Pricing team in developing rate cards to advise on product offering, pricing, package etc.
- Provide ad hoc support for various strategic initiatives and operational workflows to drive efficiency and productivity enhancement.
Qualification & Experience
- 7 years of business experience in the areas of quantitative and qualitative business analysis, including 3 years of dedicated experience in pricing, yield management and programmatic ads management.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; skilled at transacting data, macro trends and campaign performance insight into the actions.
- Experience with digital advertising, publisher or programmatic platform with multiple sales channels
- Knowledge in Sales force, order management system, and/or other business analytic and reporting software such as DOMO, Tableu, Quicksight etc.
- Experience with digital advertising platforms such as DSPs, SSPs and other relevant mediation platforms.
- Experience in developing and leading data analysis, reports, and models to support data driven decision making process, by using internal business assumption, forecasting and external/market variable.
- Familiarity with SQL and comfort building basic queries and modifying more complex ones
- Must be task driven & have the ability to produce and hit key deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and communication skills with the ability to present complex analysis to the key stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and work effectively within cross-functional and matrix relationships
- Bachelor’s degree, in Business, Finance or Accounting
Salary Range Pay Transparency: Compensation for this role, for candidates based in New York, NY is expected to be between Base range: $130,000 ~ $175,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
