Job Summary:
- assist the Director and Chemist with the management and operation of the Analytical Laboratory. They will report to the Director of Laboratory and Quality. They will be involved in the preparation, management, and adherence to all lab SOP’s.
Responsibilities:
- Execute laboratory protocol and procedures under the supervision of the Chemist or Director.
- Regularly display good laboratory technique to avoid cross-contamination or misidentified samples.
- Adhere to quality control procedures as described in the Company’s quality documentation and SOPs.
- Log data, as required.
- Perform sample preparation and complete QC duties, as assigned.
- Perform routine and non-routine equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Maintain physical and electronic records.
- Comply with GMP, GLP and other applicable regulatory or company requirements.
- Help manage inventory of chemicals, lab supplies, and consumables.
- Review data for accuracy and report out-of-specification or unusual results promptly.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of an associate's degree in a science related field or 2 years of equivalent experience
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for an extended period of time
- Strong communication skills
- Excels in a team environment; follows directions easily
- High attention to detail and extremely organized
- Able to adapt to changing roles and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with computers, particularly Excel, Word, Email & capable of learning.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
- High level of integrity and a strong work ethic
- GMP experience preferred
- Ability to maintain an incredibly high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong agility, engagement, and flexibility in an ever-changing environment
- Working knowledge of logging, organizing, and analyzing data
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced deadline environment while successfully managing multiple tasks
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Working knowledge of standard laboratory protocol
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work, problem solve, and communicate with multiple levels of the organization
