Sampson Regional Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated LPN to join our healthcare team. This position is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys building relationships with patients, collaborating with providers, and delivering high-quality care in an outpatient setting.
What You'll Do
- Provide professional nursing care to patients in the physician practice setting.
- Perform patient assessments, obtain vital signs, and document patient information accurately.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Administer medications and immunizations as ordered.
- Respond to patient calls and questions and provide appropriate follow-up.
- Coordinate patient care, referrals, testing, and follow-up appointments as needed.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, preventative care, and health conditions.
- Monitor and communicate patient changes and concerns to the appropriate provider.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Follow established clinical, safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards.
- Work collaboratively with providers and other members of the practice team to provide exceptional patient care.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Currently licensed by the NC Board of Nursing as an LPN.
- Previous outpatient/physician practice experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
