Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring a Buyer to join the Materials Management team!
Description:
The selected applicant will be responsible for purchasing supplies for the organization, as well as maintaining inventory. Will be responsible for ensuring contract compliance. May contribute to the negotiation of vendor contracts or service agreements. Performs general clerical duties related to the organizations purchasing program under supervision of the Director. Receives and distributes supplies throughout the organization. Maintains appropriate inventory par levels in clinical areas. Performs general courier duties under the supervision of the Director. Pickup and deliver supplies, specimens, and bank deposits between departments. Mail will be picked up from Post Office and delivered/distributed to departments. Hospital forms will be generated as requested. May require other duties, as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or higher.
- Valid driver's license with no infractions.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- One (1) year of Medical Supply Chain experience preferred.
Hours:
This is a full-time position working 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday. May be required to work other hours for effective department operations.
