The Shopping Assistant supports customers during their in-store experience by providing product guidance, answering questions, and ensuring a positive, efficient shopping environment. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service while helping drive sales through friendly engagement and knowledgeable support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and offer assistance in identifying products
- Provide basic product knowledge and help compare options
- Maintain a clean, organized shopping area
- Ensure displays remain presentable
- Assist with locating items within the store
- Answer customer questions and direct them to appropriate resources
- Report any issues with inventory, safety, or customer concerns to store leadership
- Support promotional activities or special events as assigned
Requirements:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
- Able to follow instructions and work independently
- Retail or customer-facing experience preferred but not required
