Salary: $1500-$5000/monthSample Supports is looking for Host Home Providers to share their home with adults with disabilities. This is a unique career where you open your home to provide care to adults in need. Becoming a Host Home Provider allows for a flexible career that gives back to the community.We are seeking a compassionate Host Home Provider with a wheelchair-accessible home to support an individual who uses a wheelchair. Support needs include assistance with safe transfers, mobility support, and daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and community access. The ideal provider is patient, attentive to safety, and comfortable supporting physical needs while promoting independence and dignity. Experience with wheelchair users or transfer techniques is preferred, but training and ongoing support will be provided. Sample Supports will match an individual in services with you based on the compatibility of you, your family, and your home environment. No two Host Homes look alike and we support a diverse set of people with varying needs. Sample Supports offers a competitive rate ranging from $1200 - $5000 per month. Supplemental room and board payments may also be provided at up to $700/month.RequirementsMust be at least 18 years oldMust be able to lift at least 75 poundsMust have dependable and reliable transportation with the ability to safely transportMust have a valid driver's licenseMust meet approved motor vehicle record standards for providing transportation for individuals in servicesMust be able to pass Child/Adult Protection Services checkDue to the nature of the work performed at Sample Supports, and that this position works with an at risk population, we do require a criminal background check be completed.Must have appropriate living environment with at least one private bedroom available for placementsMust be willing to perform Non-Violent Crisis Intervention physical managements as trainedPreferred knowledge and understanding of developmental disabilities, mental health, and trauma
