Experienced Immigration Attorney

Location: New York, NY (In-Person)
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $100,000–$140,000 per year (Based on experience) Performance Bonus

Our practice focuses on family-based immigration, removal defense, asylum, waivers, and humanitarian immigration matters. We are seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney who is passionate about advocating for immigrants and committed to delivering outstanding legal services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a full caseload of immigration matters from initial consultation through final resolution.
  • Represent clients before USCIS, EOIR (Immigration Court), the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and other government agencies as needed.
  • Prepare and review family-based immigration petitions and applications, including I-130, I-485, N-400, I-751, I-765, and I-131.
  • Prepare and oversee complex waiver applications, including I-601, I-601A, and I-212.
  • Handle affirmative and defensive asylum cases and other humanitarian immigration matters.
  • Represent clients in removal proceedings, bond hearings, master calendar hearings, and individual hearings.
  • Draft motions, legal briefs, responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs), and appellate filings.
  • Conduct legal research and develop effective case strategies.
  • Supervise and mentor paralegals and legal assistants.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and provide exceptional client service.
  • Stay informed of changes in immigration laws, regulations, and agency policies.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active license and good standing with any U.S. State Bar (New York Bar admission preferred but not required).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of immigration law experience required.
  • Strong experience handling:
  • Family-Based Immigration
  • Adjustment of Status
  • Consular Processing
  • Removal Defense
  • Asylum
  • Cancellation of Removal
  • Waivers (I-601, I-601A, I-212)
  • Naturalization
  • Experience appearing before Immigration Court (EOIR) and USCIS.
  • Excellent legal writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to client advocacy and compassionate legal representation.
