What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bread Merchandiser position at Sammy G’s Distributing?
Part-time bread Merchandising position available in the Anacortes to Smokey point area Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday
THIS IS A PHYSICAL JOB. Do not let bread fool you, this is hundreds to thousands of loaves to deal with. This is not a light duty position and requires a sense of urgency as well.
28-34 hours of work each week. Training is provided..
Hours are dependent on the person and the amount of bread going out that day.
workdays will be from about 5am to 10am-12pm. These hours are estimates, the job isn’t done until all stores are properly stocked.
Area of operation includes , Smokey Point, Arlington, Stanwood, Camano, Burlington, and Mount Vernon.
2 weeks of paid time off per year accruing after 90 days of employment
Gas card included
To qualify for this position:
-21 or older
-You must have a vehicle and clean driving record
-You must be comfortable with a 5am start time
-Must perform a job shadow for a minimum of one day before we mutually decide this position is a good fit. These days are paid and require no physical labor. This is for you to observe only and to decide if this is a good fit.
-Must be able to push, pull and maneuver stacks of bread
-Must be able to lift 20 pounds of product consistently throughout the day
-Stock bread, rotate fresh product to the back and oldest tag to the front
-Communicate when product levels are light or heavy

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28 – 34 per week
