What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mainline Heavy Equipment Operator position at Sammax Contracting LLC?
Sammax Contracting, LLC (Sammax) is currently seeking a qualified Main line Heavy Equipment Operator. Projects are local to central North Carolina (Raleigh, Durham, Mebane, Chapel Hill, Cary) Area. Office is in Clayton, North Carolina.
Candidates must have 3- 5 years’ experience as a Main line Heavy Equipment Operator to include installing, maintaining, and repairing underground water, storm and sewer utilities; able to work with trench boxes , and stacked trench boxes; perform proper sloping when not using trench boxes; performing routine inspections, basic maintenance like checking fluid levels, and reporting any malfunctions to supervisors; Following all safety protocols and company policies, and communicating with supervisors about working conditions; clearing debris, preparing surfaces, and sometimes performing heavy manual labor such as digging, lifting, and backfilling; conducting post-job quality checks to ensure work meets specifications and standards; and communicating with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth project progression.

Salary commensurate with experience
Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
