Job Summary

Samford Group is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our civil engineering team in Auburn, Alabama. This is a senior-level, client-facing role with full ownership of project delivery, team leadership, and business development. The ideal candidate is a licensed PE with experience in residential and commercial land development who is ready to step into a leadership position and grow with a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

•       Manage 10 active civil engineering projects simultaneously

•       Serve as primary client contact for all assigned projects

•       Seal and stamp civil engineering plans and deliverables

•       Set project schedules, track milestones, and ensure deadlines are met

•       Manage billing and invoicing for all assigned projects

•       Represent clients at planning commission and city council meetings

•       Conduct quality control review on all project deliverables

•       Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3 (with growth expected)

Qualifications

•       Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Alabama; Georgia licensure preferred

•       Minimum 5 years of civil engineering project management experience

•       Experience in residential subdivision and commercial land development

•       Strong client communication and presentation skills

•       Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited institution

•       Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam

Compensation

•       Base Salary: ~$100,000 (commensurate with experience)

•       Annual Performance Bonuses: ~$20,000–$25,000

•       Total Compensation: ~$120,000

•       Minimal travel — site visits approximately once per month
