About the Role



Now, we’re launching Sameday Horizon: a new human-in-the-loop operations team that helps power the next generation of AI for the trades. We’re looking for sharp, reliable, high-energy Customer Operations Specialists to answer live calls, dispatch jobs, support customers, and help train the AI agents that will eventually run the back office for thousands of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, pest, roofing, and home service companies. This is not a normal call center job. You’ll be on the front lines of one of the fastest-growing AI companies in the trades. You’ll speak directly with homeowners, book revenue for real businesses, coordinate with technicians, and help our product team understand what great human operators do so we can build it into the future of AI.



Responsibilities



  • Answer inbound calls for home service companies. You’ll speak with real homeowners calling plumbers, HVAC companies, electricians, pest control companies, roofers, and other service businesses.
  • Qualify leads and book jobs. You’ll gather the right information, understand the customer’s problem, identify urgency, and schedule appointments inside systems like ServiceTitan, FieldRoutes, Housecall Pro, and other platforms.
  • Dispatch and coordinate service calls. You’ll help route the right technician to the right job, manage appointment windows, communicate with customers, and make sure the experience feels professional and smooth.
  • Support AI-powered workflows. You’ll work alongside Sameday’s AI agents, stepping in when needed, reviewing edge cases, and helping improve how our agents handle calls, scheduling, dispatching, and customer conversations.
  • Protect the customer experience. Homeowners often call when something is broken, urgent, or stressful. You’ll bring calm, confidence, and clarity to every conversation.
  • Help build the playbook. Because Sameday Horizon is new, you’ll help define how the best human operators work with AI. Your feedback will directly influence our product, training systems, and operating procedures.
  • Represent Sameday AI with professionalism. You’ll be trusted to speak on behalf of our customers’ businesses. Every call matters.


Qualifications



You’re great on the phone. You sound confident, warm, clear, and professional. You can calm people down, ask good questions, and move conversations forward.



Required Skills



  • You have strong judgment. You know when something is urgent, when to escalate, and how to make practical decisions quickly.
  • You’re organized and detail-oriented. Scheduling, dispatching, addresses, contact info, appointment notes, job types, technician availability, and customer expectations all need to be handled accurately.
  • You move fast without sounding rushed. The best operators are efficient but still human. You can keep calls short, helpful, and high-quality.
  • You’re comfortable with software. You don’t need to be technical, but you should be comfortable learning new tools, CRMs, scheduling systems, and AI-powered workflows.
  • You like solving real-world problems. Every home service business has quirks. Every customer is different. You’ll need to think clearly, adapt, and keep things moving.
  • You take ownership. We’re building something important. We need people who care about doing the job right, not just getting through the shift.


Preferred Skills



  • Experience as a CSR, dispatcher, office manager, call center rep, sales rep, or customer support specialist.
  • Experience in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, pest control, roofing, garage doors, or another home service business.
  • Experience with ServiceTitan, FieldRoutes, Housecall Pro, Jobber, Service Fusion or similar software.
  • Spanish-speaking ability.
  • Experience handling high-volume inbound calls.


Pay range and compensation package



$45,000 to $55,000 base, depending on experience. Performance bonuses available. Full health, dental, and vision benefits. Life insurance. Generous PTO. Location: In-office in Utah. Potential for occasional customer visits or company travel as the team grows.
